SHIPPING

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping cost is calculated automatically by the carrier (USPS). We unfortunately don't control when prices go up.

Shipping costs depends on several factors:

1) The total weight and size of the package. The specific products you select determines the end shipping cost. For example, 1 product will cost less to ship than 2 or 3 products. Our temperature sensitive items may cost more, depending on the season.

2) The distance from us to you. Since we are located in California, a package will cost more to ship to the Midwest or the East Coast.

3) The shipping cadence you pick. Free shipping is the cheapest and Priority is the fastest but most expensive.

Do you ship to PO boxes?

Yes we do, since we ship with the United States Postal Service.

How will my order be shipped?

All orders are shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service).

What is the difference between Economy (Free Shipping), USPS Ground Advantage, and Priority?

FREE SHIPPING (ECONOMY) is shipped ground and is usually the slowest shipping method. Hey, at least it's free :)

GROUND ADVANTAGE is USPS ground shipping, so depending on your location, Ground Advantage may take 2 to 5 business days. Since we are located on the West Coast in California, shipping will take 3-5 business days for Midwest and Eastern Seaboard customers.

PRIORITY is the fastest shipping method. On average, Priority Mail usually arrives 1-3 days sooner than Ground Advantage. We recommend choosing Priority if you're in a hurry to receive the products or if you order temperature sensitive products.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

We can accomodate special shipping needs, but this will require us to provide you a custom quote for shipping. Please contact us at hello@soweden.com to inquire.

What is Cold Shipping and why is it required for some products?

Cold shipping just means that we ship your products in a plant-based foam cooler with reusable ice packs. Cold shipping is necessary for some of our products during certain times of the year, particularly summer. We are located in California, where it can reach well over 100 degrees. Some of our products are temperature sensitive, so we ship them in the cooler to protect them from melting. Cold Shipper coolers may be purchased in our online store for $10. The shipping is calculated automatically.

My address does not accept shipments from USPS. Can you use another shipping carrier?

We can accomodate special shipping needs, but this will require us to provide you a custom quote for shipping. Please contact us at hello@soweden.com to inquire.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We usually ship the same day if your order is placed before 2:30 pm PST. If you place an order on a Friday, your order may not ship until Monday. Orders generally will arrive within 2-5 business days after processing. The speed of your shipment will also depend on if you select Free Shipping or Priority, especially during the holidays.

My order says 'delivered' but I can't locate it. Where is it?

Occasionally, orders may be marked as 'delivered' but they will show up later that same day or the following day. We recommend checking your tracking information and looking around your property for the package.

I provided the wrong shipping address. Will you resend my order?

Sow Eden is not responsible for insufficient or incorrect mailing addresses. Please contact customer service at hello@soweden.com

Will taking Sow Eden products get me high?

In general, Sow Eden's products are designed to provide relief without any discernible intoxicating effects. All of our "broad spectrum" products test at either near zero THC or "non-detectable" (ND) THC, so there is absolutely zero risk of intoxication. As for our full spectrum gummies, these do contain THC (< 0.3%). Please follow dosing instructions on the product.

Will I fail a drug test after taking the products?

Although the majority of our products test at near zero THC or "non-detected (ND)," extremely trace levels can be present (< 0.01%) and you should consult with a testing lab before use. To our knowledge, our broad CBD products have never made anyone test positive in the past, but we cannot make any guarantees as they contain a very broad spectrum of cannabinoids, including THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin), not to be confused with its relative, THC.

The exception is our SLEEP products, which contain high levels of CBN or Cannabinol. CBN has been known to cause false positives on certain types of drug tests, in particular the Beckman Coulter Emit II Plus Cannabinoid assay. The tests are known immunoassays, which means they use antibodies to detect various drug compounds. There are slight differences in the antibodies that test manufacturers use, so it's possible to get different results. Please keep in mind that immunoassays are only screening tests. They would be followed up by "confirmatory testing" that does distinguish THC from other compounds, such as CBN.

If you get drug tested, we recommend that you stay away from our full-spectrum Sleep gummies, which do contain higher levels of THC (< 0.3%).

How much product will I need to take to find relief?

CBD products affect everyone differently, and what works for one customer might not work well for you. Results depend on your metabolism, body weight, how active your endo-cannabinoid system is, and various other factors. We encourage you to experiment with product amounts to find what works best for you. Start small, 2.5 - 5 mg of CBD (Approx. 2 - 5 drops), and then build up in strength until a desired effect is achieved. For some this could be as little as 10-20 mg, but for others it could be 50 - 100 mg, or more.

For our gummies, we recommend starting with 1/2 a gummy, then work your way up to find the dose that works for you.

Why is sublingual absorption more effective than taking a gummy?

The small capillaries located under the tongue allow the CBD to enter into the bloodstream faster, which allows the CBD and other cannabinoids to bypass digestion and increases the bioavailability of the product in the body.

How fast should I expect to see results?

Everyone is different. In general, most of our customers experience positive results within the first few days of using the product. However, results vary widely and totally depend on the issue at hand. The benefits of CBD are cumulative, meaning that they build up over time. So try your best to be patient. CBD does not work in the same manner as a pain killer or an anti-anxiety medication does. The positive effects are more subtle at first, and then they begin to amplify and multiply. Inconsistent use is the number one reason CBD users think the CBD isn't working. We encourage you to incorporate our CBD into your daily wellness routine and combine its use with a healthy, balanced diet and exercise.

How should I be using your CBD topicals to maximize their benefits?

For CBD to be the most effective at pain relief, it needs to penetrate through the skin barrier. While all of our CBD topicals contain essential oils and other ingredients that assist CBD with transdermal penetration, we always recommend exfoliating the area of skin prior to application. Take a warm washcloth or loofah and gently scrub the area where you want to apply the topical. This removes the dead cells on the outer surface of the skin. Then, take a warm washcloth and allow it to sit on top of the area for a minute or two. This will dilate the skin's pores and allow more CBD to get deeper into the skin. Make sure to dry the area quickly, and then apply the topical and massage into the skin until the product is no longer sitting on the skin's surface. The topical product may be applied as many times as you want throughout the day. We recommend multiple applications throughout the day for best results.

What is the best Sow Eden CBD topical for pain relief?

Many of our customers have told us our Chill 1000 mg balm and our Soothe Relief Roll-On are their favorite products for pain relief. These two products are, by far, the most concentrated we offer.

What is the best Sow Eden product for Sleep?

Although all of our tinctures will help with relaxing the body and mind, we recommend choosing our sleep specific tincture, which happens to be called "SLEEP." In addition to CBD, it contains a high concentration of CBN (Cannabinol), one of the most sedative of all the known cannabinoids, as well as the terpene Linalool and naturally occuring Myrcene. Both of these terpenes help to calm the mind and relax the body, allowing for an easier transition to sleep.

If you're ok with a little THC, we recommend checking out our Sleep Gummies as well.

What product(s) are best for anxiety?

Our customers have told us that all of our tinctures and our gummies have helped calm the circus in their mind. The most potent would be our IMMUNITY tincture, which contains 1500 mg.

What Sow Eden product is best for arthritis?

Our most potent anti-inflammatory blend is called BOOST. BOOST is our Cinnamon-Turmeric tincture. This formula is extremely potent and it helps to reduce inflammation and pain. BOOST contains several botanical extracts like curcumin and ceylon cinnamon, both known for their anti-inflammatory properties. It also tastes amazing!

What Sow Eden products are best for menstrual cramps?

Our customers have told us that our Comfort sublingual tincture and our Relax 1:1 Pain Balm are ideal products for soothing menstrual cramps and tackling PMS.

Is it safe to use Sow Eden products while pregnant or nursing?

We don't recommend using our products without consulting a medical professional or your physician. Unfortunately, there is not enough clinical research at this time.

Do you use artificial fragrances in your products?

All of our products contain pure essential oils and we never use any synthetic or artificial ingredients.

Do Sow Eden's products contain known allergens?

None of our products contain soy, but they do contain sunflower and coconut. If you have a specific question regarding allergens, please email us at hello@soweden.com.

Where is the hemp grown?

We source our hemp extract (also known as CBD oil) from a few different organic farms in the United States. We have close relationships with our farms to ensure a clean, ultra high quality product. All of the farms we work with are licensed by their respective Department of Agriculture and they follow strict farming and manufacturing protocols.

Where are Sow Eden products made?

We make everything in-house in southern California!

How should I store my products after I purchase them?

In general, our products don't require refrigeration, unless you are planning to purchase multiple products to stock up. Our body butter is particularly temperature sensitive and will melt if not kept below 85 degrees F. Do not store the body butter in a car on a warm day or leave it in direct sunlight. Store the body butter in a cool, dark place. Our tinctures are best stored in an upright position. Do not leave them on their side for an extended period of time as they could possibly leak.

Do the products have an expiration date?

Yes, we recommend using the products within 1 year of purchase, and within 6 months of opening them.

Are Sow Eden products certified organic?

Every single one of our products is made with certified organic and non-GMO ingredients. Our CBD oil itself is derived from organically grown CBD flowers, but it is not certified organic. We laboratory test all of our products to ensure their safety and efficacy.

Are Sow Eden products laboratory tested?

Absolutely! We post our lab results on our lab results page. We lab test for cannabinoid potency, heavy metals, mycotoxins, pesticides, residual solvents, and microbial contaminants.  If you can't find what you're looking for, on our lab results page, you can always ask us to share our COAs with you as well. In addition, every product we make is marked with a scannable QR sticker on the product box. Just scan it with your phone camera and it should automatically take you to our lab results page for that product.

GENERAL

What does the term Broad Spectrum CBD mean?

The term "Broad Spectrum" refers generally to a CBD oil that has undergone a process in which the THC is removed from the original full spectrum oil to make it undetectable on a drug test. The "broad spectrum" part refers to the cannabinoid profile of the oil, meaning that there are several cannabinoids and other phytochemicals/phytonutrients present in the oil even though the THC has been removed. These cannabinoids can include CBD, CBN (Cannabinol), CBDV (Cannabidivarin), CBC (Cannabichromene), CBG (Cannabigerol) and many others.

Unfortunately, there is no regulation on the term "broad spectrum" and many companies are abusing the term or do not understand what a true broad spectrum oil should look like. In short, not all broad spectrum CBD oil is the same. We prefer a broad spectrum oil that is minimally refined and still very rich in all of the whole plant compounds such as bio-flavonoids and terpenes.

I'm a California resident. What is the Prop 65 Warning?

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about certain exposures to chemicals or heavy metals that could cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, including Sow Eden's. Unfortunately, the list contains a wide range of naturally occurring compounds such as THC and Myrcene (a terpene), as well as synthetic and highly toxic chemicals. It is important to remember that these studies have been conducted on lab animals, not human subjects. However, we are required by law to label our products in such a way. Though this warning may seem worrying, there is currently no conclusive evidence to suggest myrcene or THC cause cancer in humans. In fact, many studies suggest the opposite.
